a down do

This was really easy to do & explain. Inside-out French Braid 3 braids at the front of the hair. Bring together to make one piggie.
Wave the rest of the hair & add a cute flower bow (she actually let me put a bow in her hair:) That's it!! How easy & it would be really cute on any length of hair or any age of girl. I had a girlie in my ward that came up & said she wants to wear her hair like that for prom - it really would look cute on any age!

Is the only way to get a wave like that with a wave iron (like the 3-barreled one you have in the other wave post)?

What did you use to make the hair wavy?

Loved this on Sunday, it was so cute! I was admiring her cute hair, but knowing that when I 3-barrel Katie's hair it just does not come out that cute. Maybe I need lessons ;)

Shae - if you click on my labels list - I should have a tutorial on inside-out french braiding. Check it out & let me know if you have any ??? - for the others who asked how I waved this - it was with a 3 barrel curler or "waver" You can also get this look if you braid her hair the night before & let her sleep in it - but the best thing to do is braid more than one braid so you don't have kind or some pieces that are straight/some waved. Hope that helps.

Jess, You have inspired me to actually do Hal's hair:) Fancy that! I will post some pics. I now owe you for 2 very important things! :) I think you have a great talent... half the girls that do hair couldn't achieve the amazing things you do!

I love this one. My daughter is going through a phase this month where she won't let me do her hair up. She wants it down and long, so this is perfect. We used this three days in a row this week!!

This is so adorable! My daughter is about the same age and has blonde hair the same length as yours (although my daughter's hair isn't as thick). She always likes to look at your blog with me and pick the hairstyles she wants me to do on her. When she saw this one she said I "had to" do this...then she proceeded to put on the exact same dress from her closet! She was so excited! Thanks for such an inspiring blog!
