Braided Bun

Part the from the part down to the ear & pull the rest back in a pony. This is what you are going to french braid.
French braid all the way down.
Pull the rest into a pony tail.
Now bring the braid into the pony but have to go over, across it (like shown) so it looks like the braid is wrapped & keeps going with the bun. Add elastic to secure it.
So I forgot to flip this picture & too late now. Sorry!! Braid the pony tail & braid as far down that you can.
Wrap the braided pony into a bun. If bobby pins help along the way, use them. I used an elastic to secure it at the base. I didn't want any of the ends of the hair showing so I tucked it under the elastic so you couldn't see it.
Add a cute bow & you are finished.

Oh Puh-leeeeeeeease do a video tutorial on how to french braid! I've never been able to do it quite right. I know in my head how to do it, but can't for the LIFE of me get it to turn out. I don't know if I am not holding the hair right or what. My daughter (7) begs me to french braid her hair. My sister knows how, so whenever we see her, my daughter asks HER to french braid her hair. Help! BTW, I LOVE your site. I've been looking for ideas forever, and stumbled across your blog about a month ago. She now has the cutest hair of anyone in her class!! But who's looking ;)

I too would love a video on french braiding. Like someone else said, I can do it, but it doesn't look that great and what is in my head is NOT the way it turns out to be!

I've looked at a lot of hair blogs and seriously, yours is my favorite. Your daughter's hair is so beautiful-she'll be all the envy when she gets to be school age. What a mom! Keep the good ideas coming! You're so creative! I love it that you blog about it!

Okay, so I've been using your sight for ideas for my girls hair for about a month now. When I saw this one today, I had to LOL because I did it almost exactly the same way of my own thought process just yesterday! (I pulled the pony into five braids and looped them to make a flower, and then curled the ends to go in between each braided loop. I got that part from another site.)
I also did another one of your ideas the other day before we went to a working farm for a field trip. There was another little girl there with the exact same hair style! Coincidence? I don't think so! Your site is pretty popular, I'd say. Thanks for all the fun ideas. I love having my daughters feel pretty!
