UpsideDown FrenchBraid

I totally remember going to my sister & asking her to do an upside down french braid on my hair for school & I would flip my hair over the bed & she would frenchbraid away. Then with the end of the tail - she would tuck it back into the braid. Well - I decided to do something pretty close to it. Don't mind the unmade bed (sheets are being washed:) This would be really cute for church...umm might have to do it again for tomorrow!
I had her flip her head over my awesome unmade bed.
French braid away - going as far as you want. I went a little more than half way on her head.
Flip her head over & pull all of the hair into a ponytail. My girlie's is a high pony tail because I wanted to make sure her curls were on top of her head.
Curl the pony & pin it so the curls are on the top of the head. By doing this - the french braid is much more visible - which is what we want to see, right?

  3. No matter how much I study your hair tutorials and try the hair do's on my little girl (same age as yours)... IT DOESN'T WORK. Its frustrating because I know I am crafty and creative... just not with little girl dos... SAD FACE
:( YOUR LITTLE one has much longer hair then my daugthers, who also has natural curl too. That may be half my prob. Love your creativity!

  15. We did this one on Saturday. I didn't wet my daughter's hair down - I was just practicing, so it was a bit fly-away and fell out by evening, but it was fantastic. We did the upsidedown french braid - I - ah - didn't read your directions carefully so I braided ALL of her hair, so the top was a bit loose and messy - just a little. Then I used about 1/2 the hair to make a messy flower bun. The rest I curled and bobby pinned to the side to be ringlets down her head - attaching a flower over the bobby pins. We went shopping at Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics and Ulta salon and got TONS of compliments. Several teenagers seemed to be scoping it out - it would be a great prom do. Thanks SO much it was really fun. I'll try it again the right way and see how long it lasts!
