I had a duh moment with this. I had my camera sitting next to me & forgot to take pictures - so sorry about the no step by step instructions. You get the after effect.
I started by parting the hair off to the side (a little further than I normally would) then part back to the ear bo make like a box. Twist braid her hair until all hair is included. If you can't remember - you start at the top with 2 strands. You brush the rest of the hair forward (or whatever way you are grabbing the hair from) Start by twisting once & the next time you twist, you grab from the section that is pulled forward. Now, twist again & grab. Going all the way down. Once I got where there is no more hair to grab, I corkscrew twist to the bottom - going as far down as possible.
Pretty :) She has a beautiful smile :)

very cure!
ReplyDeleteI have to ask how young did you start doing her hair? My daughter is 2 and I am working on getting her to sit still and she has hair past her houlder blades but its thin so some of your styles work and others dont. How do you get them to sit still? I guess thats my question. and also do you have any reccomendations on sites to learn basics like the twists, french braids and fishtails? My mom never did my hair so I am guessing thats why i prefer mine short.
ReplyDeleteJust found your site as well. Funny I had the same question. My daughter is 2 and a half also and can sit still long enough to do pigtails but never complains that "it hurts" when we do the hair. Love the step by step instructions - you're awsome and have such a cutie-pie daughter. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteshes adorable!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI so LOVE it! I've noticed I do alot of french braid styles lately on my girlie and always on some kind of an angle. I figure that way you don't have to worry if its straight...right?
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping you wouldn't mind if I stole a few pics for our salon blog... Let me know:) If not I will just leave a link on there:)
ReplyDeleteHey Jess!! I've looked at your site so many times (even though my little girl doesn't have hair long enough to style) and just realized who you really are! (This is Alyson Summerhays from high school)... I love the creative ways you come up with to do your darling daughter's hair! You're amazing!
