Section the hair that you want included in your headband. Secure the rest back with an elastic so you don't add it.
Start from either side & make your way to the opposite side, spacing them evenly.
When you get to the very last one on the END, you don't want to include the headband in this. You want it's own little piggie. Because you bring it back to the existing headband & add it to it - because this is where it ends.
This is what it looks like once you take that last piece & add it back to the headband (not sure she's too happy about getting a picture yet)
I didn't get the best of shots of after - but it was DARLING!! I roundbrushed it to give it volume & then took a curling iron very quickly to the ends of her hair & curled the pony on top. Add a cute bow & it's just too cute. This seriously was a very fast do for us - even with the blowdrying part. & it can be done on long hair also.

what a cute little girl! (but I am biast) i wouldn't expect anything less from you...thanks!
What a CUTIE! That 'do looks adorable on her!
I LOVE the hair headbands. I usually do them back into pigtails because I couldn't think of how to keep it on top. I am such a goober, lol. Now I can start using all of those single bows that I don't have matches too.
Thanks!!!

I found your website last night and today my little girl has her first cute hairstyle since we cut her mullet a few weeks ago. I've looked through a lot of your posts, but I'm having a hard time finding any other short dos. Any more ideas would be appreciated?
That is so cute! I've been waiting to see some short hair styles. I just had to chop my little girls hair to her shoulders and I'm having a hard time doing things with it. Thanks for all the cute ideas.
I absolutely love this! I'm trying to grow out my daughter's bangs & this is a great way to do her hair while her bangs are still short. I wanted to thank you for keeping your labels for easy reference to all of your hairstyles. A lot of the other hair blogs I've been following have taken their labels away & it makes it so much harder for me to find different types of hairstyles (e.g. ponies, buns, braids, curls, etc.). Please, please, please don't take your labels away, because for someone as forgetful as I am, I've really come to depend on them. I LOVE your blog & I can honestly say that I check your hair blog more often than any other hair blog I read. Thank you! :)
I saw this the other day and did it on my daughter's hair today - it was adorable - and she liked it!
It's a great way to get those growing out bangs out of her eyes.
Thank you for all the great ideas. I daughter gets so many compliments on her hair. I tell them all to check out your blog!
I love this hairstyle! I just did a smaller version on my toddler and it turned out great!
Since finding this this other day - and posting - she wore this sytle on Friday night to a party.
We also did it parted down the middle and going toward the back of her head. Much easier than french braids for my french braid challenged fingers. This she wore on Saturday and Monday.
This is seriously the best hairdo ever for quickness. I loved it cause I wasn't able to get to my daughters hair the next day and it still looked perfect so I just braided the rest and it looked adorable. Thanks for all the great ideas.
This is a great quick hairstyle for my 16 month old. It doesn't take a lot of time and keeps her hair out of her eyes!
Thank you for this idea! I always struggle with what to do for school on my daughter because there's not a lot of time. It turned out great, was easy and she loved it!
Thanks for the fantastic idea! I just stumbled across your blog & I love it!
Thanks for taking the time to document. it really helps
That is so adorable! And it would look great in my daughter's hair. She's 3, but has very thin and long hair. Her bangs are past her nose now, and just get in her face if I don't do anything. I'm tired of putting it into a little ponytail and clipping a bow in front of it. I will try this hairstyle tomorrow. :)
