I used a bobby pin because I was in a rush. But if I would have taken the time - I would have grabbed a safety pin & pinned it to the ribbon - which I recommend. If you are going to use a bobby pin like I have in this picture, just slide the ribbon thru & make sure that it's thru enough to not come out.
I pulled her hair up & curled it & then pinned it up, which is not very convenient for putting a bow into it. But I love the look of a bow, it always finishes her hair off. So I thought this would be a cute way of adding your bow: Start weaving with the bobby pin or safety pin.
I saw this idea on another blog... Did you get the idea form that other blog? I can't remember which blog it was, but I am pretty sure it was done somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteNo, I never look at other hair blogs so I wouldn't know.

ReplyDeleteRight now I am trying to master braiding her hair. Is is better to braid with wet or dry hair?

ReplyDeleteI love your ideas, very cute, and easy:) I have 3 little girls and I'm always looking for new ideas to try with their hair. Love the bow idea! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Your daughter has gorgeous hair!
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog. I have two boys, but I love to see the many different ways you do hair. I teach Pre-K and have tried some of your creations on my students when they are having a bad hair day. It is so much fun. My 16 year old sister also lets me try things out on her hair. This is a great site. I have told many mothers with girls about it.
ReplyDeleteVery cute ideas. This is my first look at your blog. I noticed that your pink ribbon's edge was fraying. Did you know that if you put a satin ribbon just above a match flame, the ribbon will melt just slightly and not fray again? I only learned that recently & love it. Just be careful not to get the ribbon too hot or it will burn!
ReplyDeleteWhat's the deal with that lame comment from anonymous?? Honestly! You are amazing.
ReplyDeleteCute! You do such a great job. I have you blog linked to my blog so i can check back often. I have a hairbow company. I am sure you get this question a lot but.. would you be willing to add my link if you like my bows. http://trinzy.mybisi.com I add new stuff weekly. I can add a link to your blog on my store page.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this!!! How clever! My daughter wears her hair up a lot to church and sometimes our bows look out of place in certain up-dos! Can't wait to try it!
