I cannot believe how much time has past since I last posted! I often get asked if I'm going to ever post again. A few reasons I haven't....I had a baby girl, we've moved & lastly - my little girlie chopped her hair off to an A-line last year & since she's been in school all day - it's hard to get around to it. But I am going to try here & there again. I often get asked if I'll post short hair dos - so I will try my best. Thanks for all the support & nice emails out there. Believe me - I have read every single one - even if I haven't responded. Time has just slipped through my hands & I've loved just enjoying my little kids while they are little. I'm not sure how often I will post - but come back & check!<br /><br />Jessjesshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05640941246787084848noreply@blogger.com20tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8948093176031463034.post-76075796601669860362010-12-20T12:48:00.003-07:002010-12-20T13:01:12.672-07:00triple inside-out frenchbraidsWe hope everyone is enjoying the holidays as much as we are. So if you tie your bow then slide a bobby pin right in the middle - you then just push the bobby pin into the hair where you want placed.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFQKSHyT6IFRHY61XhyphenhyphenWxd2MXsvw3quheNw5wEGoSPhYD07QDy6cNyOMBMLiURU7f5pFZbFlKnfXuwWaaf6qDShWwMOC4Jct4GKT35BjkCseioaDmGkgV2A36qAvgT1hP_32Qn_8-WH0E/s1600/012.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5540944635325728722" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFQKSHyT6IFRHY61XhyphenhyphenWxd2MXsvw3quheNw5wEGoSPhYD07QDy6cNyOMBMLiURU7f5pFZbFlKnfXuwWaaf6qDShWwMOC4Jct4GKT35BjkCseioaDmGkgV2A36qAvgT1hP_32Qn_8-WH0E/s400/012.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWVYakQNhT1jA8r1MPRlp8bwmn8w2QumxD0gUfMO6cABMrEjuq6bEWp3ifEaN9fuN73HwNSE-iaWimE0UNqp3S-XHJdXeYRmUOdBicIurId2Qrix6h49Q0IEqBGYe0uTLD9J3Q1JHzFMc/s1600/013.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5540944622102999330" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWVYakQNhT1jA8r1MPRlp8bwmn8w2QumxD0gUfMO6cABMrEjuq6bEWp3ifEaN9fuN73HwNSE-iaWimE0UNqp3S-XHJdXeYRmUOdBicIurId2Qrix6h49Q0IEqBGYe0uTLD9J3Q1JHzFMc/s400/013.JPG" /></a>Here's the front view - by the time I tried taking a couple of the back view - my camera had had it & I think the battery died (can't tell since the screen doesn't work:) Scroll back to the top of this post to see the back again!<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirV803z30neAG9koP0zA8E4LsEr59U18b8gv-UANeLnGq_uz2c1simIzddIBk7lV6ckQ67NYm0om1RRWY3BXIrT12iP_LZsMYIhFeKsHc5fU2-s0llJsyR4IBDOkKdURHR7O4KGEOlQME/s1600/014.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5540944618162325474" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirV803z30neAG9koP0zA8E4LsEr59U18b8gv-UANeLnGq_uz2c1simIzddIBk7lV6ckQ67NYm0om1RRWY3BXIrT12iP_LZsMYIhFeKsHc5fU2-s0llJsyR4IBDOkKdURHR7O4KGEOlQME/s400/014.JPG" /></a></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>jesshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05640941246787084848noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8948093176031463034.post-59244126831683318392010-11-11T11:00:00.005-07:002010-11-12T13:00:11.079-07:00Shutterfly Christmas/Holiday CardsI know this has nothing to do with hair but I am so excited for Christmas this year! & I've already started thinking about Christmas Cards. I'm totally digging the bright colors this year. I plan on using a black & white photo with the bright colors, it just seems to make the words POP out. I always DS my own cards but this year, Shutterfly is giving 50 free Holiday cards to bloggers. That is an awesome deal! Especially if you are planning on getting cards, why not get them free? & it's super easy - you just have to upload your own photo. Much easier {& quicker} than having to come up with a design on your own (like when you DS them). Honestly, I've never used Shutterfly before but my sisters are often printing through them. They have done both books & <a href="http://www.shutterfly.com/calendars"><span style="font-size:130%;color:#990000;">CALENDARS</span></a> & they all look really nice. So you don't only have to get cards from them. These are a couple of my favorite: I am totally digging the red & turquoise together! So fun!<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAn1r-ETsBiWzBO4tL3sfIbJ5lR-WKARdX8nqYYEfyhoGit_guPW2xF8y2Th-5-UGHIz2Yp5SR6bvKm0Zg9s9m0B4WwvVxVPM5HsrNCOwMryvmx_WiOiQedQDBFd9IpdVASKjtwWQWq14/s1600/STATIONERYCARD_5x7-23046-2461-MERCHLARGE_FRONT-v1281038923000109231.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 289px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538355302670618226" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAn1r-ETsBiWzBO4tL3sfIbJ5lR-WKARdX8nqYYEfyhoGit_guPW2xF8y2Th-5-UGHIz2Yp5SR6bvKm0Zg9s9m0B4WwvVxVPM5HsrNCOwMryvmx_WiOiQedQDBFd9IpdVASKjtwWQWq14/s400/STATIONERYCARD_5x7-23046-2461-MERCHLARGE_FRONT-v1281038923000109231.jpg" /></a> <div></div><div></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGclyGy1sGYFgxVP4HnntEIYq9ci5J3AQt8gRoWSES8l1ERJohokThaONzT4K950u0nmXmpiiIzlnXJJrTLXxtu8OwcE2Xw3Zn_jsefYPGWJdiJ8JDgmlFR6s957vqK8WbrJUvWeQkgdk/s1600/STATIONERYCARD_5x7-23046-2434-MERCHLARGE_FRONT-v128103901800091443.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 289px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538355297085482930" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGclyGy1sGYFgxVP4HnntEIYq9ci5J3AQt8gRoWSES8l1ERJohokThaONzT4K950u0nmXmpiiIzlnXJJrTLXxtu8OwcE2Xw3Zn_jsefYPGWJdiJ8JDgmlFR6s957vqK8WbrJUvWeQkgdk/s400/STATIONERYCARD_5x7-23046-2434-MERCHLARGE_FRONT-v128103901800091443.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p>& there's tons more. Honestly - I'm not lovin' messy buns with my girlie's hair lately. Her hair is too long for them but time's come a calling when we are in a rush & they still are the fastest thing for me to do. This is a good example - normally - I don't like to do messy buns on one pony tail - it's just way too heavy...she'll even tell me her head is heavy on those days:) So if I do it in 2 pigtails - they usually look nicer & aren't quite so heavy.<br /><br />So here you have your pony tail you want to make into a messy bun.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9J_9yNf4n2-EAOKRmHF9eoYqMh6FToONFIqfJzNMWgKSIDUux9PYz5EyPNktfz9gnm-I5RhXXiUxeqkbAXk_L6Iu_vuhATUffB2tyoSrt5tclgLvOcYhBe5nZN4hx08zvIvU1yaQsWYg/s1600/009.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532495527189661122" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9J_9yNf4n2-EAOKRmHF9eoYqMh6FToONFIqfJzNMWgKSIDUux9PYz5EyPNktfz9gnm-I5RhXXiUxeqkbAXk_L6Iu_vuhATUffB2tyoSrt5tclgLvOcYhBe5nZN4hx08zvIvU1yaQsWYg/s400/009.JPG" /></a> Pull it up 1/2 thru & secure with elastic<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyRS5npqHGhF5EpFbREYRU87SfQXeK2Pwh9rmWSEqymx_wywqB15epRS-d6NHNk0MOHeqzoWYqJnTTDkRsl8td-BcEJI50uajmGiwE3_n45heWF1kHmGLm3bB4uBlVvIqYlkuQpAgGR6E/s1600/010.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532495523287081970" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyRS5npqHGhF5EpFbREYRU87SfQXeK2Pwh9rmWSEqymx_wywqB15epRS-d6NHNk0MOHeqzoWYqJnTTDkRsl8td-BcEJI50uajmGiwE3_n45heWF1kHmGLm3bB4uBlVvIqYlkuQpAgGR6E/s400/010.JPG" /></a> This is the secret right here: do the exact same thing as that first step. Fold the hair in half again & secure with elastic.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb9VbgQ7ZK0ykhIshd10xzoqCX8IsdfzaYRPCO26z4ta2_UhrnM9sRjVWuObIspf0_UyR_eaAIfUEgtiOh6W5wVufp9ljjrJoiQ1tt4Mk4MCk64byy7JQ7osTWoNGoxiihtIgGjOcu1hg/s1600/011.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532495519898682130" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb9VbgQ7ZK0ykhIshd10xzoqCX8IsdfzaYRPCO26z4ta2_UhrnM9sRjVWuObIspf0_UyR_eaAIfUEgtiOh6W5wVufp9ljjrJoiQ1tt4Mk4MCk64byy7JQ7osTWoNGoxiihtIgGjOcu1hg/s400/011.JPG" /></a> Then depending on the look I'm going for, I will add bobby pins to give it a more messy look - or use rubber bands & do the messy look I've always done. It's that second step that is helpful for those with longer hair.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd1pLnBh1BK1pFcj4ag2QisELhVWXMuY6YXGRzf9J2Xw5EpwixVbmd9ffzKCjCGttGgVNAZ58cW5g9h19gIO7ZleeUyNJD5OfuZdH72GId_0igdQxmCv6qIkeRPufidtENKB_ObpFuog4/s1600/012.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532495513338866690" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd1pLnBh1BK1pFcj4ag2QisELhVWXMuY6YXGRzf9J2Xw5EpwixVbmd9ffzKCjCGttGgVNAZ58cW5g9h19gIO7ZleeUyNJD5OfuZdH72GId_0igdQxmCv6qIkeRPufidtENKB_ObpFuog4/s400/012.JPG" /></a> Here's a front view<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiArp5Owb04HSDw7wvjqG0HTCwOP74mjgrXaYCDdfCCfagtFE9MchyWqyE8ne4I_j2b1ek1nr0MyMHAad5DSZYYFAwpgWqqa5GoMXnUC6GGGldjZQ9Zm09T0xD6Hzt5PIsWbdoTi8YlLfY/s1600/014.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532495510258896290" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiArp5Owb04HSDw7wvjqG0HTCwOP74mjgrXaYCDdfCCfagtFE9MchyWqyE8ne4I_j2b1ek1nr0MyMHAad5DSZYYFAwpgWqqa5GoMXnUC6GGGldjZQ9Zm09T0xD6Hzt5PIsWbdoTi8YlLfY/s400/014.JPG" /></a> Hope that helps. I've been meaning to post this forever - & I'm really excited to. There are so many ways you can wear the rolled braided flower & this is just another fun way. Also - for those of you whose girls don't like keeping the headbands in all day, {ahem} mine, this is a perfect way to do a foe head band<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZruKqC-1_E3mgJfqJwOSibxYfuX6kkN_xgMIypIFicnVJc4My9vpXFH_SdkXzfDn14KktiRmNXPv_VIx4ktXa1OBMaNB-VLh-uZK7w1m1puidokk7xXIIqre09Nz18i7yBf-CPEFrk9k/s1600/Whitneys-flower-headband.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5527285233134156098" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZruKqC-1_E3mgJfqJwOSibxYfuX6kkN_xgMIypIFicnVJc4My9vpXFH_SdkXzfDn14KktiRmNXPv_VIx4ktXa1OBMaNB-VLh-uZK7w1m1puidokk7xXIIqre09Nz18i7yBf-CPEFrk9k/s400/Whitneys-flower-headband.jpg" /></a> Do the rolled braid just like we've done in the previous post {if you haven't seen it - scroll down to get instructions - it's just a few posts before this} I then did another smaller one next to it, doing the exact same thing. For the third one, I just did it smaller, between the already there flowers. I tried to overlap it as much as possible over the 2 flowers to make it look close together & it looks better. **When I say smaller - I mean make the braid smaller - not quite as thick.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDa_lP2ny6JRO2qNczadh5jX6H7TzWTQ7XORnBmtWIkL1ZehqKYBNWDhmcyr45ywvRB6HJg9rQkKLLvU3eMx7D8KZ2FiPJRo3_2oVaocpy7KVUAmxLKWK74b_H7rbqWL3at-Mc3KClYDs/s1600/001.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5527265017665731602" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDa_lP2ny6JRO2qNczadh5jX6H7TzWTQ7XORnBmtWIkL1ZehqKYBNWDhmcyr45ywvRB6HJg9rQkKLLvU3eMx7D8KZ2FiPJRo3_2oVaocpy7KVUAmxLKWK74b_H7rbqWL3at-Mc3KClYDs/s400/001.JPG" /></a> The finished look. We kept the rest of the hair down. It turned out super cute & was really fun. People actually noticed that it looked like the flower headbands!!<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAseqV8kxXyoLyqHDlXMYs06kYkFMb4hUiso1620sEA_IDecVy7AxvOnX-jPKxYbRpjRcujMrLWOXy96yr2UbAqJR5dQ4VGxevfCA6U7GxpDRoXreW52QA7DmJb7IPzZxpDc5tgxQ1q8s/s1600/004.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5527265013659229746" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAseqV8kxXyoLyqHDlXMYs06kYkFMb4hUiso1620sEA_IDecVy7AxvOnX-jPKxYbRpjRcujMrLWOXy96yr2UbAqJR5dQ4VGxevfCA6U7GxpDRoXreW52QA7DmJb7IPzZxpDc5tgxQ1q8s/s400/004.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgW_YPF70TjaSAXfEvblvIwqWzqLtesR9BE_jdvXNsaNoCsesgsidboKK3CSblBIp_sImHkN1tdeh9oDtWvSUXTazBkF1UtGRDs5ta44-rfrAD4g1JWs3x8h5TJVeDmQ9GSZHSvTXjsCUk/s1600/002.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5527265006460889906" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgW_YPF70TjaSAXfEvblvIwqWzqLtesR9BE_jdvXNsaNoCsesgsidboKK3CSblBIp_sImHkN1tdeh9oDtWvSUXTazBkF1UtGRDs5ta44-rfrAD4g1JWs3x8h5TJVeDmQ9GSZHSvTXjsCUk/s400/002.JPG" /></a></div></div></div>jesshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05640941246787084848noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8948093176031463034.post-61617259459907372442010-09-20T09:43:00.005-06:002010-09-20T09:59:33.937-06:00Double Rope BraidsMy girlie's hair is just getting oh so long! I can't get her to cut it. I think she would look darling in a bob but she loves her long locks too much so we opted for layers, or "lazers", as she call them. She went up to our hair dresser & said will you cut Lazers in my hair? He looked at me like what???? Layers. They are long layers so it gives enough texture that when we curl it - it holds better & looks better. Also, because they are longer, when we braid or pull her hair up - the layers aren't sticking out with every braid.<br /><br />So here's our new post:<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfmhHv-xNTzusrx5B8dzzi79flSJ5-9kacVRoIF_Nb2Q9avc-ioXnB2Lo2UQHkEWDtjkkOWveXf4QZRVZGmsDrk0DenaybIPiiNoPX5qqnTiueik39v2A2e5xXW01h-LcYYzpvBtXeHpw/s1600/P9180009.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519023248906315602" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfmhHv-xNTzusrx5B8dzzi79flSJ5-9kacVRoIF_Nb2Q9avc-ioXnB2Lo2UQHkEWDtjkkOWveXf4QZRVZGmsDrk0DenaybIPiiNoPX5qqnTiueik39v2A2e5xXW01h-LcYYzpvBtXeHpw/s400/P9180009.JPG" /></a> Start by dividing the hair in half horizontally. Unfortunately, I cannot find the tutorial that I have put up here on how to do this twist - so looks like there will be one coming soon. I'm finally getting around to posting it. I have one more idea that I want to show you with the rolled flowers so stay tuned for that also.<br /><br />I love this because it replaces a bow & stays in better than a bow would which is super for this little girlie going to school & losing bows left & right.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_mSbFnzxlWLMJIDKk90Oz7XKBGtIwyII4gHy3zxvq8ON6jkUbB-TgvjZGl0zyDlBOt-lerLeK8f15Ct1wTHykmPA4vZybiQu-58IElEOBydnEa6YFRiNXR_KlSHvq_QfFL8wP9l68FTk/s1600/010.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5512021542293093330" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_mSbFnzxlWLMJIDKk90Oz7XKBGtIwyII4gHy3zxvq8ON6jkUbB-TgvjZGl0zyDlBOt-lerLeK8f15Ct1wTHykmPA4vZybiQu-58IElEOBydnEa6YFRiNXR_KlSHvq_QfFL8wP9l68FTk/s400/010.JPG" /></a> Get a nice tight side pony. We are thrilled & she's lovin' it!! Who knows where we've been - we've just let time slip past us. But I'm still around - posting:)<br /><br />My sister is fabulous & she actually came up with this idea - I had to ask if I could put it on here it's so genius. You know those darling flowers made out of material - that are rolled & are just so cute? Well - she thought it would be fun to try it on hair. I am in love with it & we've done it a few times since. It is one of those that YOU can do on yourself, on your girlie or even a teenager could wear. Don't we love those? I'm just sad that my hair's too short do fun things like this anymore.<br /><br />CHECK back because I'm going to post another variation of this darling rolled braided flower<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj16KQI4TJq7mWgdVPkGTOJTVnOenQ5EeBE-8SuU91YBX1T1MWV62ewOjzQGIoNnzFxnq3pBduYOKpjWwZJsQkvUPG8VJaQm91a_fLXtH6I2mXC7NuOy71hyphenhyphenwGrD_vke8FQRQujvxOlwko/s1600/017.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5507919254271743474" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj16KQI4TJq7mWgdVPkGTOJTVnOenQ5EeBE-8SuU91YBX1T1MWV62ewOjzQGIoNnzFxnq3pBduYOKpjWwZJsQkvUPG8VJaQm91a_fLXtH6I2mXC7NuOy71hyphenhyphenwGrD_vke8FQRQujvxOlwko/s400/017.JPG" /></a> It starts out really easy & simple. Just pull a section of hair back & braid it. I wanted the braid back a little bit - so it didn't sit right on top of her head or too close to her forehead so just bring as far back as you would like. Secure end of braid with an elastic leaving no more than 2" at the bottom<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFmrT19rvTVs2cTOPzX6Owp8-ICaa9xB8HFI7DVug_rbTJnDStR80Jn3Py7n_mTO9xQz0F2wxrE8Fnz8tnZOiHvH9bwUJmxdqUTawI8_grKN0lyzgCxDFYaULVEQQBOtoT78HyhNp_nbg/s1600/002.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5507919249289452562" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFmrT19rvTVs2cTOPzX6Owp8-ICaa9xB8HFI7DVug_rbTJnDStR80Jn3Py7n_mTO9xQz0F2wxrE8Fnz8tnZOiHvH9bwUJmxdqUTawI8_grKN0lyzgCxDFYaULVEQQBOtoT78HyhNp_nbg/s400/002.JPG" /></a> Start by twisting the hair, but keep that braid flat to the head. We enjoyed a 2 week vacation at Myrtle Beach. & since we've been home - we've been swimming everyday, either at swim lessons or at grandma's pool & we've just been keeping it perfect hair for swimming - 2 french braids. Stays out of her hair the whole time & is not tangly when we take it out. So my apologies but I do have a fun one for the <span style="color:#000066;">FOURTH</span> of <span style="color:#cc0000;">JULY</span><br /><br /><span style="color:#666666;">This is our version of the American flag. Girlie thought I was literally going to do stars & stripes - nope just improvise!! She loved it & giggled when she looked in the mirror saying how fun it is! & brother kept giggling & saying her hair looked silly. Pretty funky but oh so fun!!</span><br /><span style="color:#666666;"></span><br /><span style="color:#666666;">our version:the American Flag - see it? please say yes!</span><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGeaJ1cv3au_tYYMJketcmkqALtd1PAvFRBFf5fwVNCFvrFG7LHvHSfoKK1uN4g0L_ZqVJqCXLrqrpJNBWvC5Zb3qR-GMEfygMLZxIUwP_6bdEk7qnwYsCxYR1FSpgD7an9duzRzoahMY/s1600/039.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5489438243424734370" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGeaJ1cv3au_tYYMJketcmkqALtd1PAvFRBFf5fwVNCFvrFG7LHvHSfoKK1uN4g0L_ZqVJqCXLrqrpJNBWvC5Zb3qR-GMEfygMLZxIUwP_6bdEk7qnwYsCxYR1FSpgD7an9duzRzoahMY/s400/039.JPG" /></a> Part the hair down the middle & divide a square on the left side where the stars would go. Twist braid her hair until all hair is included. If you can't remember - you start at the top with 2 strands. You brush the rest of the hair forward (or whatever way you are grabbing the hair from) Start by twisting once & the next time you twist, you grab from the section that is pulled forward. Now, twist again & grab. Going all the way down. Once I got where there is no more hair to grab, I corkscrew twist to the bottom - going as far down as possible.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX_KuId5x7mo5DkIhe9iugyRgG-pWp6V4Op8sRROmLUwSKhl85Ob-LTSr9Lo89FSgABJ3PkOSYAHXwUsV0BGkP9F8oJqKCl3LwlmJ3aSV27UwxhVL-hv1Q2fHlL27wGPoWdTjSIWdeRs8/s1600/010.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5478992911804636642" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX_KuId5x7mo5DkIhe9iugyRgG-pWp6V4Op8sRROmLUwSKhl85Ob-LTSr9Lo89FSgABJ3PkOSYAHXwUsV0BGkP9F8oJqKCl3LwlmJ3aSV27UwxhVL-hv1Q2fHlL27wGPoWdTjSIWdeRs8/s400/010.JPG" /></a> Add a side pony. NOTHING!! Honestly. I do her hair when it is damp & only use a tail comb. Spray it with hair spray & use the comb again to smooth everything out. So I guess not nothing - only hairspray. Now - if I am keeping it down we use the Garnier Fructise Curling Gel whether I'm curling it or not. It's just a great scultping gel. I think everyone thinks you need to add all this product but the secret is do it while it's wet. It holds all day & we don't get many flyaways. A scary looking & intimidating man approached me & says hi. her hair is so cute. Then walks away. It was too funny. So if this man thinks it's cute - I hope you all do too.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivB3O9eMhiQSccy-wzRmV-DN6H4Is9A45BTS9o6Rqw8ZigE_fKMAsfw1rYyvtyexULp28c4Rj6kzmTwKUs8gnhxw9QKbYMUsoVQC_-TmVDLQIIWRKKh-I2nnHAKJIHUO3PucwJuLm1rvw/s1600/036.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474905367184235922" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivB3O9eMhiQSccy-wzRmV-DN6H4Is9A45BTS9o6Rqw8ZigE_fKMAsfw1rYyvtyexULp28c4Rj6kzmTwKUs8gnhxw9QKbYMUsoVQC_-TmVDLQIIWRKKh-I2nnHAKJIHUO3PucwJuLm1rvw/s400/036.JPG" /></a> Start at the bottom of hair & part a small section. Summer is almost here. My girlie will be out of school in 3 days so that's good news for you guys - we'll be able to post more:) Summer also means 2 weeks at the beach!! Can. not. wait.<br /><br />Also - my man graduates college today. After going for 10 years, many degree & school changes he is officially done!! & to add to our exciting week - he won a drawing at work for a 7 day cruise to Mexico for the 2 of us!! Hooray!!<br /><br />Since I'm in such a good mood this morning - I'll finally post this. It has been in my folders for a few weeks now. Like I said - once this girlie is out of school - hopefully be hanging around here more often.<br /><br />If you can't french braid - or don't have time - cut the braid on top - but *warning* it adds so much to this & it's darling. This would be perfect for another short hairstyle. Anything with the runners going up is awesome for short hair because it keeps all those straggling baby hairs up. <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5FjPauBvmMSsoLk29l2UNGkO5Vk6KhfUWM3CV3YKub_SACnyEi1oqPcAgrynhJIRHnvjTqfeCJCkBPrhKCZXQDg_Ht5seDf34aCQsdSwbzBLxhQLvtBfJK0rKJ__KCoPtWoVaiP9D-2E/s1600/016.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468540748237767474" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5FjPauBvmMSsoLk29l2UNGkO5Vk6KhfUWM3CV3YKub_SACnyEi1oqPcAgrynhJIRHnvjTqfeCJCkBPrhKCZXQDg_Ht5seDf34aCQsdSwbzBLxhQLvtBfJK0rKJ__KCoPtWoVaiP9D-2E/s400/016.JPG" /></a> Start by adding 3 elastics on each side at the bottom of the hair (yes I see Lola & Lota in the tv. charlie & lola is a favorite during hair time:)<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG9-gzzbwm4DUFHS_RCGPMH_H3wMtJ2MyBq1gNFRmHpJFUTpYCARGazw0whTVtcAiqs_DrZ_kgzs1ecahyphenhyphencsQQR-TKTn55o0t46ZCQnQx9bffhGs_1y6qdRS1iNFZFyZfAQtNsXh4-1aQ/s1600/009.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468540746348289938" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG9-gzzbwm4DUFHS_RCGPMH_H3wMtJ2MyBq1gNFRmHpJFUTpYCARGazw0whTVtcAiqs_DrZ_kgzs1ecahyphenhyphencsQQR-TKTn55o0t46ZCQnQx9bffhGs_1y6qdRS1iNFZFyZfAQtNsXh4-1aQ/s400/009.JPG" /></a><br />Once you've got your 3 elastics on each side - start at the bottom & bring them together, in the middle. Her hair is short - above the shoulders & she said she usually wears it down. So we immediately thought let's change it up & see if we can pull it all up. I can't take all the credit for this. My very creative sister happened to be over & was more than happy to help. & guess what? She wore it to church the next day & it still looked perfect!! <br /><br />Sorry I didn't post step by step directions but it's pretty easy. You could actually do this on long or fine hair too. (my pictures are backwards & I'm of course too lazy to switch:)<br /><br />We waved the hair all over with a 3 barrel iron. Then twisted the bangs & pinned them back. Next, starting at the oppiste side her bangs were at, we started twisting the hair, strands at a time & securing each strand with a bobby pin (these bobby pins are visible - if you have thicker or longer hair - you could hide them better) Continue twisting strands until all the hair is up. This kept all those baby hairs underneath secured nicely all night long.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3-I1d1lyIvrQu7VOXB257YwBaL5U6xTAAug_Aw6rA1Za1ChjyNdbscqoAJ2f0tTFAGy9alnyn8JWEg0Z_MgnvkwKpF6WAxHvL4SJA91JB1rmcYWC-Wq2A2whhIIjM-F8NAN_oof1LXXA/s1600/070.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5461943460497421826" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3-I1d1lyIvrQu7VOXB257YwBaL5U6xTAAug_Aw6rA1Za1ChjyNdbscqoAJ2f0tTFAGy9alnyn8JWEg0Z_MgnvkwKpF6WAxHvL4SJA91JB1rmcYWC-Wq2A2whhIIjM-F8NAN_oof1LXXA/s400/070.JPG" /></a> We kind of poofed the top so you could see the wave & it looked more full. We finished with a loose bun from the ends left over & added a cute flower. How easy to do on yourself even? & we didn't use any elastics - only some good ol' hairspray & bobby pins.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKJmysBjntj2F1_u59lHr6IunSwfRTIyzs06y6FsG-mocPw8Qv2Q0GOMPKjz0Um-ytSIMU_e-ObQvCIC_fYibz7jYGejPdr4SiyBky9X6HGFiVQAfsMaVf9MUHH6ouPkw0M_GTCiK707g/s1600/071.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5461943456022267730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKJmysBjntj2F1_u59lHr6IunSwfRTIyzs06y6FsG-mocPw8Qv2Q0GOMPKjz0Um-ytSIMU_e-ObQvCIC_fYibz7jYGejPdr4SiyBky9X6HGFiVQAfsMaVf9MUHH6ouPkw0M_GTCiK707g/s400/071.JPG" /></a></div><br /><p>Of course - pictures never do it justice. </p><p>& BTW - thanks for all the birthday wishes to my girlie!! I love this time of year & the beautiful weather with all the blooming flowers. But it looks like it's not going to last for long because we are getting some rain this week. Of course over Easter weekend. Here's my new post:<br /><br />These braids are SO easy & you can really end the hair any way you want. We wore it like this on Sunday but kept it all down, or you could do 2 pig tails or you could do half up half down. So many ways. This was the fastest way for me today<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQn3Y2ofTeodSKbe2ThNP9un_hqZyLgVoJZDVpSS0kpvF25BhyphenhyphenjKRfFqlrenq4tgnqrtIx3jo-lbNFQ0pQ4UOK8AGHXbKtJF04BKD7BPiN6fxQSG2GtrPd54gpD52HnW9qYxAC3pbW0SI/s1600/030.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454534086307719314" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQn3Y2ofTeodSKbe2ThNP9un_hqZyLgVoJZDVpSS0kpvF25BhyphenhyphenjKRfFqlrenq4tgnqrtIx3jo-lbNFQ0pQ4UOK8AGHXbKtJF04BKD7BPiN6fxQSG2GtrPd54gpD52HnW9qYxAC3pbW0SI/s400/030.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGLjhd4N_Ewm8iLh7RmploPmd6bNttt4wPWb4xoiENbUvzgJ-WyBLx7lTDXpPlJH6QiOtPVfK8tdxw5m9ki0RVR7ZUUBQEIJQNIDXd9fOTTmcpFHR5dMcfjEWNF4gzSs1cb9aVLusoTrs/s1600/027.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454534077560358562" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGLjhd4N_Ewm8iLh7RmploPmd6bNttt4wPWb4xoiENbUvzgJ-WyBLx7lTDXpPlJH6QiOtPVfK8tdxw5m9ki0RVR7ZUUBQEIJQNIDXd9fOTTmcpFHR5dMcfjEWNF4gzSs1cb9aVLusoTrs/s400/027.JPG" /></a> Part your hair on the regular parted side. Start a braid by sectioning off just a small section at the front of the head (off the part)</div><div> </div><div>Start a 3 piece braid, then add ONLY a piece from the top & add to the braid. On Sunday, I kept braiding (without taking any pieces - regular old braid to finish it) & brought all braids together but do what ever is easiest/fastest for you. <br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw15NipNQZN4FfU-XplFzJUKxuG3-1XgLmB66yfLyiXKBxBaeBaoXniG_VKx7ATm6DxGIhk_uYLYjS3qTNAHpXxstLeuMwikBWioiJKljiDwIWE0cAqH9qU1DVoYfSvWrYeixcuuY4RwQ/s1600/020.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454533306431064642" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw15NipNQZN4FfU-XplFzJUKxuG3-1XgLmB66yfLyiXKBxBaeBaoXniG_VKx7ATm6DxGIhk_uYLYjS3qTNAHpXxstLeuMwikBWioiJKljiDwIWE0cAqH9qU1DVoYfSvWrYeixcuuY4RwQ/s400/020.JPG" /></a> Get your next section just right near the first braid & do the same thing. You will notice you won't have to braid as far because you are starting back just a tinch further back.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGpLx6vk-aeEvCKcaNIxPBhT6Q5b6uIbBdlrH1kg00ghC9Niww_vbufB1l87_8hX7IO1hzIRKBG54ECVqpilpa-H0aLLT9OrOKNGaUNugu3RI6ZmzVWHwsuvuFj1aLJLcPLvgeijKqrEs/s1600/024.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454533300067179554" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGpLx6vk-aeEvCKcaNIxPBhT6Q5b6uIbBdlrH1kg00ghC9Niww_vbufB1l87_8hX7IO1hzIRKBG54ECVqpilpa-H0aLLT9OrOKNGaUNugu3RI6ZmzVWHwsuvuFj1aLJLcPLvgeijKqrEs/s400/024.JPG" /></a> I did it 3 times on this side. Then I brought all the hair together to a side pony & pulled it into a bun. <br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNgfppCkkylXgXtpVgs-uvQbAVNqeeBh3aJ_MnBoH0yWzcw9-_xvLBeAmwBhc7PA8Y_YefMJIgTbuHfoXCXWt9zfcB1nVNlptT_q6mWAV6FY5PY_Kxpq-NcoPL2wxLZg6OG3cCoFg8MHE/s1600/029.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454533287720487570" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNgfppCkkylXgXtpVgs-uvQbAVNqeeBh3aJ_MnBoH0yWzcw9-_xvLBeAmwBhc7PA8Y_YefMJIgTbuHfoXCXWt9zfcB1nVNlptT_q6mWAV6FY5PY_Kxpq-NcoPL2wxLZg6OG3cCoFg8MHE/s400/029.JPG" /></a> Spray to hold, add a bow & you are finished. My bow is from Kyla's Kreations. Check her site out if you are looking for some new, fun bows. Her link is on the right under my lists. Again, like I said - you can finish this however you want. I wanted to leave it down & curl her hair but it was not in our time - but that's what is great you can always modify!!<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqfv8Z6MOHkfprCDSY0kU-VpH6To4J9jVlSbgWOLkNUnifAHEXFShPBM6zsCGAhNlALdTWiLQgw0kfyg_xiDk_4he98oOpPbAaNMUya0NmMNAycnOgomN4n9anu1VzC0nAWKJjt5Lfujk/s1600/033.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454533278458520642" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqfv8Z6MOHkfprCDSY0kU-VpH6To4J9jVlSbgWOLkNUnifAHEXFShPBM6zsCGAhNlALdTWiLQgw0kfyg_xiDk_4he98oOpPbAaNMUya0NmMNAycnOgomN4n9anu1VzC0nAWKJjt5Lfujk/s400/033.JPG" /></a> </div></div></div></div></div></div></div>jesshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05640941246787084848noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8948093176031463034.post-36247552395349014542010-03-03T12:43:00.005-07:002010-03-03T12:59:29.451-07:00Remember<strong> </strong><a href="http://cute2tryhairdos.blogspot.com/2008/11/zig-zag-braids.html"><strong><span style="font-family:lucida grande;color:#cc0000;"><em>THIS</em></span></strong></a> -- well that is one of our favorite hairdos to do in our home but sometimes we like to change it up a bit - so here's a little modification to the zig-zag braids:<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiZiK2Qmf2rdpCnodhYiny8GHqnJUMhRYyBzDpMemLAWyqO-1ZzyBWXv89FHHQuWYB6Em3pDDdS2JRTMFkYDaNfo2wzkvwnNFDbHAWXsE-om1OOkZ4CQA6_u4KIngo76BsPEEYUqh4H1g/s1600-h/018.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444496936408979170" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiZiK2Qmf2rdpCnodhYiny8GHqnJUMhRYyBzDpMemLAWyqO-1ZzyBWXv89FHHQuWYB6Em3pDDdS2JRTMFkYDaNfo2wzkvwnNFDbHAWXsE-om1OOkZ4CQA6_u4KIngo76BsPEEYUqh4H1g/s400/018.JPG" /></a> Start by parting the hair right down the middle. Put one half of the hair in an elastic to keep out of the way. You are now working with half of the hair. Right in the middle, divide a section that looks like a circle with hair surrounding the outside of it. Sounds confusing - look at the picture below:<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizseVx0EwWODrQtdP5BKxfbRVz-geCruhmwB9QOdjEFNmlqmhBGzsAdf_wQOqByRVkKskN6JfTdmmOHqeIdooN1tEx68-mNyvbP_KHIMqHykyalm5A9ji2NX47ec_zqdSBzXMIt1y4yws/s1600-h/001.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5441138093766758098" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizseVx0EwWODrQtdP5BKxfbRVz-geCruhmwB9QOdjEFNmlqmhBGzsAdf_wQOqByRVkKskN6JfTdmmOHqeIdooN1tEx68-mNyvbP_KHIMqHykyalm5A9ji2NX47ec_zqdSBzXMIt1y4yws/s400/001.JPG" /></a> Now the hair that is left out of that pony tail, begin inside-out french braiding at the top of the part.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTnx5aVcIS6m-NxqL5S2tKCJ_l4mf_2SElN5psExaCohp6nUNDvaWIEnNNxjwyU3VFgWsM658BUberRbhvhhYLAkejdfm_xDR595GuiTsX5Iwn5Axh36rFaXUl9mFvZaosQaeFLIr9FOs/s1600-h/002.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5441138089965568498" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTnx5aVcIS6m-NxqL5S2tKCJ_l4mf_2SElN5psExaCohp6nUNDvaWIEnNNxjwyU3VFgWsM658BUberRbhvhhYLAkejdfm_xDR595GuiTsX5Iwn5Axh36rFaXUl9mFvZaosQaeFLIr9FOs/s400/002.JPG" /></a> You want to circle around the pony tail that you made making sure not to include any of the pony (again only the hair on around the pony)<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuKZ84sYnTsvENqWc__-1-enNastbMrMVvCzruwfnedw47djFfuUDUPh-_CpJpXO9vb3UVTe1gFNash-7MkPb08aLsR1_c19joPfStfo2D-OZCEzV09hNhtDIHOl9e2sYdsC1vl63vsN4/s1600-h/003.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5441137689320926578" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuKZ84sYnTsvENqWc__-1-enNastbMrMVvCzruwfnedw47djFfuUDUPh-_CpJpXO9vb3UVTe1gFNash-7MkPb08aLsR1_c19joPfStfo2D-OZCEzV09hNhtDIHOl9e2sYdsC1vl63vsN4/s400/003.JPG" /></a> Once you get to the end, now connect the braid with pony tail.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP46-sQSg19czOZI9bZb_W27Plnkzmqw7dl9MJfpt5nt8bDf9qb-Z6tMS_OP9i7aVfSiPS6TJHxoiQV0aM_PJkZHLTkYXdXQGT7uOLO0UGtFPWY5EEqfze4gkr1zG6CqFz_BxehnAbBgg/s1600-h/004.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5441137680337005090" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP46-sQSg19czOZI9bZb_W27Plnkzmqw7dl9MJfpt5nt8bDf9qb-Z6tMS_OP9i7aVfSiPS6TJHxoiQV0aM_PJkZHLTkYXdXQGT7uOLO0UGtFPWY5EEqfze4gkr1zG6CqFz_BxehnAbBgg/s400/004.JPG" /></a> Do the exact same thing to the other side.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj45cCu3fBltY1l9qX8L8PouMD2mWqZSNXS196VFy-IqshuEHw5az06WLfy2HLVISNN8nVFDDRuDIA_iaWyfluuGEl4i3EP2khm77AfHTEDqrOG9v1myBopS-rUqCxDe43WFXDcmVAhzkU/s1600-h/005.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5441137675917207122" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj45cCu3fBltY1l9qX8L8PouMD2mWqZSNXS196VFy-IqshuEHw5az06WLfy2HLVISNN8nVFDDRuDIA_iaWyfluuGEl4i3EP2khm77AfHTEDqrOG9v1myBopS-rUqCxDe43WFXDcmVAhzkU/s400/005.JPG" /></a> I finished with some messy buns. I've been trying to talk my girlie into cutting hers into a cute bob but she will not go for it - so I woke up one morning & was like I'm sick of doing 2 girls long hair (mine & hers).<br /><br />I love getting out of the shower & brushing it because it's not tangled at all. I love how fast & easy it is for me to do. But I don't love that I have the total mom look now. Oh well - I guess I should accept that since I am a mom. & I miss that I can't do lots of fun things to my hair anymore.<br /><br />Here is the only picture I could find of me where my hair was down (yes another plus - I will actually do my hair now:) So here is my family picture in October:<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglOmQ6L8iEiSMxcOLJ-j8achpQ42rUWjuhv3na12b4-FVk1whyvGo4xae7nQBDz0-BCPIzlwCkvv5JzYWtLRVn_cb8vt0gRpXSoaaoEEow_PjL4jSdjbmsrp4W2s9MGQd49P_3_AX6S4M/s1600-h/_MG_2841+(1).jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 275px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436366136269207410" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglOmQ6L8iEiSMxcOLJ-j8achpQ42rUWjuhv3na12b4-FVk1whyvGo4xae7nQBDz0-BCPIzlwCkvv5JzYWtLRVn_cb8vt0gRpXSoaaoEEow_PjL4jSdjbmsrp4W2s9MGQd49P_3_AX6S4M/s400/_MG_2841+(1).jpg" /></a> & the after. I will have to have my husband get the back - it's shorter. This is my little boy being the photographer (who's just under 3). He would gladly take your picture too.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik_qpjuOggNZZ8JC6KDDBBe-ykbTKUwQOAIpeNemn1l2E60TokMmtu4a9GkzqxdQ3aklgxMrMnc8dSpRajiHqghyLfU8soMlvKouK1eCiEYRDzh5T5Qc7xFDXfHlMMxqGz5xMd8g_Ei1U/s1600-h/018.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436366124341316114" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik_qpjuOggNZZ8JC6KDDBBe-ykbTKUwQOAIpeNemn1l2E60TokMmtu4a9GkzqxdQ3aklgxMrMnc8dSpRajiHqghyLfU8soMlvKouK1eCiEYRDzh5T5Qc7xFDXfHlMMxqGz5xMd8g_Ei1U/s400/018.JPG" /></a> What do you think?
